Steve Lonegan is a wonderful family man and patriot. He would have been a superb member of the House. But the DC RINOs, led by John Boehner, were opposed to him. You see, he would have been an independent conservative and they cannot stand that in the Capitol Building. So, the RINOs put up a candidate against Lonegan who they can control, and will control, and who loaned his campaign millions to use in an endless series of attack ads. This is the new modus operandi of the RINOs in all the races across the country. During the course of this campaign, Steve's newly born grandson, and only grandchild, became extremely ill. He stopped campaigning for some time while caring for his family. In another place and time, a man like this would have easily won a Republican primary. He's exactly the kind of person Republicans used to rally around and who are desperately needed in Washington. I am very sorry he was unable to beat the odds.

Well Mark, hope you remember this in November before telling us that it doesn’t matter and to keep electing RINOs.

Nobody to blame but the voters. They keep electing these turds over, and over and over.....Until the electorate decides to educate itself about the issues and the candidates there will be no end to this. The scary part is that primary voters are supposed to be the committed, involved voters.

Well, no. Not sure what period that was.
Primaries aren’t Affirmative Action for conservatives. You stop running (even for legit reasons) and the other guy isn’t going to just shut down.
Sentimentality isnt going to beat the eGOP let along the Democrats. Either the right goes to war in these things, or you sit down and pipe down.

Yes, it's obviously the fault of the "liberal RINO establishment" that Steve Lonegan lost SIX separate attempts for higher office. Without them, he would have won every single time because he is a brave principled flawless Tea Party savior who never turns off voters and is beloved by all conservatives. And of course, any Republican who dares to run for an office that Steve Lonegan wants is automatically RINO scum, regardless of how conservative their track record and positions are.

Indeed they are. That's why Steve Lonegan lost. If the primary voters knew nothing about him besides his red meat "conservative fighter" rhetoric in campaign speeches, he might have won.

Reagan, Lincoln lost many times before winning.
Hopefully Lonegan supporters won’t reward the big govt Republicans with their vote. Let the real lefty win and not the phoney Republican.

So, what does winning any previous election have to winning a current election?
Before Reagan won the GOP Nomination he lost.
Should he have just given up?

If he lost one time, nope.
If he lost FIVE times in a row, yes, he needs to get a clue that voters dislike him. You can yell "Abraham Lincoln!" and "Ronald Reagan!" Neither of them had a track record of 0 wins, 5 losses.
But I have no doubt this reality is long on Lonegan supporters and they're probably gearing up now to "draft" him for a seventh run in 2016. The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over...

Tell me, which of Tom MacArthur's positions are "big government RINO liberal phony Republican" policies to you? They sure sound pretty solidly conservative to me.
Could it be you're just assuming he's a "RINO" because his name isn't "Steve Lonegan", perhaps?

Ask the Las Vegas odds makers why they've ranked the chances of the Chicago Cubs winning the world series this year at the bottom. I mean there past track record shouldn't have ANYTHING to do with their chances THIS season, right? Most likely it's all the fault of the "liberal baseball establishment" when the Cubs lose a game.

Your problem is that Karl Rove and Gang are using your idea, and losing right and left.
Pushing the idea that they can only win if they put up candidates that sacrifice principles and morality to try and please as many people as possible and their candidates are losing right and left.
What was that definition of insanity again??

If you have listened to Mark, you’d realize the only reason he tells us to vote republican in November, AFTER the electorate fails to turn the RINO out on their bums in the primary, is that the only other options are not acceptable. That is allowing the democrat to win. He is no RINO supporter, and he presses everybody to get out and vote in the primaries, but if GA was any example...the RINOs have every advantage b/c people just didn’t bother to vote the primary. I was so angry I could’ve spit nails, but there you have it.

How about we start right here:
Lonegan said that MacArthur won the chambers support by agreeing to back the comprehensive immigration reform plan, which would increase levels of immigration. You have to answer yes to that question to get that endorsement, Lonegan said.
MacArthur admitted that he supports the legal equivalent of amnesty for the 12 million illegal immigrants living in the United States. Ive said the same thing to anyone who has asked me and that is I oppose amnesty, MacArthur said. I believe we need to send illegal immigrants that have committed a crime home to their country of origin.
However, the illegal immigrants who have not committed a crime could be given a path to citizenship [that] has to be tough but fair, MacArthur said. The illegal immigrants would get citizenship and the right to vote MacArthur said, after they pay back taxes, learn English, and are put at the back of the line.
Amnesty critics say those conditions wont be enforced, partly because theres no way for the government to assess the past earnings of illegal immigrants. Also, prior immigration deals have only required that illegals enroll in English classes, not that they actually prove that they know English.
