To: Veto!

Ya know, seems like the Bergdahls can’t decide whether they are Calvinists, Buddhists, or Muslims.

I wonder if they are Subud.

Just call them New Age and that covers all of them....each to his own whenever.

They may be Subud if they shake a lot. I met a Subud member in CA ‘way back in the day. She described meetings as people shaking and sort of letting themselves go as “spirit” enters. Sounded a bit like Quakers…don’t they quake?

Otoh, she did have some yummy veggie recipes.

The happy-sappy Berghdahl Bunch seems rather Baha’i to me. Baha’i is a “deviant” sect outlawed in Iran but popular in Seattle and other wealthy liberal places. They are extremely politically active, have members in the UN, I’ve heard.
