Congratulations, Mr. President! And identical congrats to your sorcerer’s apprentice, National Security Adviser Susan Rice. By trying to sell him as an American hero, you’ve turned a deserter already despised by soldiers in the know into quite possibly the most-hated individual soldier in the history of our military.
I have never witnessed such outrage from our troops.
Exhibit A: Ms. Rice. In one of the most tone-deaf statements in White House history (we’re making a lot of history here), the national-security advisor, on a Sunday talk show, described Bergdahl as having served “with honor and distinction.” Those serving in uniform and those of us who served previously were already stirred up, but that jaw-dropper drove us into jihad mode.
But pity Ms. Rice. Like the president she serves, she’s a victim of her class. Nobody in the inner circle of Team Obama has served in uniform. It shows. That bit about serving with “honor and distinction” is the sort of perfunctory catch-phrase politicians briefly don as electoral armor. (“At this point in your speech, ma’am, devote one sentence to how much you honor the troops.”)

Nobody is talking about the VA anymore. Or the economy. Or immigrants that are literally flooding across the border in record numbers.
We aren’t talking about bussing illegals from TX to AZ.
None of his nominees are in the news. Obamacare isn’t in the news. Unemployment is not in the news.
From Obama’s standpoint, he freed an Islamic sympathizer and freed 5 Talibani heavyweights in one transaction. He also gave the enemy $5M cash on top.
If you are trying to hurt the US from the Office of the President, on purpose, you had a very good week. Good month. Good decade.
The reason for the speed - the reason Obama could NOT wait the 30 days - was because the White House did NOT want the truth having time to come out.
This ‘note’ was NOT difficult to find...
This White House excuse is no different than the lie about a movie trailer causing the problem in Benghazi... it’s so lame that only a liberal member of the press would be gullible enough to buy it.
Berdahl—the new Benidict Arnold—I believe he helped the enemy, is a confirmed terrorist himself—may even do all he can to harm what he sees as a corrupt America worthy only of contempt. Obama will white wash him—and call him a “Hero”—but you can cover up the stink of treason.
Obama and his goons are doing everything they can to rile us up. That’s the hint we need. We must stand back, watch, throw some nasty comments out, mock them and wait out the elections.
After midterms the race for Presidency will take center stage and most of Obama’s power will evaporate. Lame duck will be an understatement... We don’t ‘need’ to do anything - watch, laugh, mock the jerks... that’s about it.

I’m thinking of calling my worthless turd of a Senator (Mitch McConnell) and asking if he intends to go after Obama with the zeal of his attacks on Bevin. Has anyone heard squat from The Chinless One?

Recall the grand old days when Obama got his peace prize for promising to talk and work things out with terrorists and enemy states, and Matthews told us that Obama could bring ‘world peace’ using his ‘moral authority’ (He had that Prize after all),

Meanwhile in the White Hut Oval Office, “Well, Ambassador Stevens got himself killed because some Americans interfered and refused to let Moslem thugs kidnap him, so, who else do we have that can we can swap the Gitmo Quintet for and be considered heroes?”

We knew Obama’s peace prize was a joke then - we still know it. The only change happened among liberals who were - as usual - gullible... They’re surprised their delusions weren’t true. We’re surprised they were capable of believing such pap in the first place. It’s all the same.

This article pretty much sums it all up as regards the criminal in the WH. Except how to get rid of him.
I dunno. Based on what I’ve seen/read/heard, it seems to me that this whole thing was crafted to give POtuS a ‘props & kudos’ moment parading first the parents and then, eventually, the ‘soldier’ himself, as some sort of a ‘triumph’.
I disagree with ‘speed’, as they’ve been secretly negotiating with the Taliban for years and the law changes last year were made to this end-game. It makes sense that the Admin moved up the ‘exchange’ to take focus off the VA scandal but, again, as the WH controlled this from top-to-bottom it makes no sense that they didn’t know EXACTLY how this was going to turn out. The ‘health’ excuse, imho, was just another load of BS obfuscation.
IMHO, when Carney was briefed on this, he said, “That’s it, I’m done.” It seems SHrillary was the only outsider briefed on the exchange...the timing of her secret WH visit being ‘suspect’. To what end she was briefed we’ll never know, but one can presume it was due to the fact she may have been involved in prior negotiations as SoS and, as the ‘16 front-runner, to give her team opportunity to posture and, perhaps, offer her a spot on the stage. On the latter, I find it notable that NO ONE shared the stage with Puppet and the parents, even Shrillary. That certainly reinforces your view.
Liberal media across the board seems to be consistently being critical of the Administration on this. I find that unprecedented, particularly the criticism from RAT lawmakers. As well, though similar to Benghazi, the story Rice was telling on the Sunday talk show on ABC was supplanted by the report within 48 hours that Feinstein and Chambliss had received apologies from the WH for not notifying them in advance: So which is it? Health reasons to rush the transfer, no legal need to notify Congress, didn’t trust Congress, or they ‘goofed’ (and apologized)? They obviously gamed the obfuscation real well. How could they not have expected the blowback?
The typical unholy alliance/allegiance by the MSM to the WH seems unravelled over this and the WH has lost all handle on damage-control. That again seems unprecedented.
I guess we’ll see what we’ll see...
