Tuesday on NewsMax TV, former U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Oliver North said U.S. Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was not a prisoner of war because he was actually being held "hostage" by the Haqqanis, a terrorist group separate from the Taliban and associated heavily with al Qaeda.
North said he knew there was at least a $1 million dollar ransom being demanded for Bergdahl some time ago so he estimated the price paid to release the hostage must be close to $5-6 million now.

Enough to finance a war on Americans....and there is speculation our 400 surface to air missiles that disappeared in Benghazi are in the hands of either the Taliban or Al Quaida...there was gun running going on in Benghazi prior to the attack, which some had reported.

The group holding him is like the mafia. They have connections with lots of ugly players but they aren’t Islamic fundamentalists. Something had to be in it for them because they could care less about GITMO detainees. Their release doesn’t benefit them in any way.
Whoever wanted these guys out of GITMO paid his captors the random in exchange for convincing our gullible leadership to let the high values out of prison.
The comments about Bowe being able to celebrate Christmas point to his being held by non fundamentalist muslims. Once the Americans lost interest in rescue, Bowe lost value and the Taliban likely traded him. He’s still worth something and they need funds to continue their operations.
This “meat” becomes more rancid by the hour. What next a video of the traitor sexing up a billy goat? Rachael Maddow would defend that too!

I posted this several times. At least there was talk of money being paid. Maybe a third party paid it for deniability -- and Obama paid the third party with some of that six billion dollars missing from Hillary's State Dept.
