The problem is that there are so many things going on now - so many hearings, so many investigations - that this latest outrage is probably going to swamp the investigatory capacity of Congress.

I just can’t see how more hearings are going to help. I read somewhere that Congress sent a formal protest to Obama yesterday, so maybe if they could make this public and actually proceed with something that doesn’t require years of hearings, it might have an impact.

I honestly don’t know what can be done. And furthermore, Obama did what he usually does after some outrageous act: he left the country so that he can keep out of reach of even the most minimal press inquiries. He’s off in the Ukraine right now, thumbing his nose at us.

You got that right. It is like the "Little Dutch Boy" Syndrome. So many leaks (scandals) that the investigative powers can't keep up. The level of intentional corruption by this slimeball is mind boggling.
