I trained there in September of 1942. I will be 90 years old in three days (June 5th) My DI was “Bull” Tromerter. Went back to see him after being out for about 8 years, he was still there, however he did not remember me, but I sure remembered him. Had a nice visit though.

Happy Birthday in three days, Marine. Same as mine.

I went through MCRD San Diego...not as long ago as you though.

Talked to a young Marine a while back and made a passing comment about boot and he said, '...that was hazing!'

LMAO. Throw him in the whiskey locker with an old school DI and see what comes out.
