Full Title:
Now Google is going to dominate space: Search giant to launch 180 satellites to provide internet access for the ENTIRE planet, sources claim
The world wide web may seem like a global community, but two-thirds of the planet still remain without access.
Now, Google is planning to change this by launching a fleet of 180 satellites to provide web access for the 4.8 billion people not yet online, according to sources close to the company.
The California-based giant will spend more than $1 billion (£600 million) on the technology, which will rival Facebooks efforts to connect remote regions of the world.

That's right over my house. I can see it from here................

When Bill Gates wanted to do this, NASA complained:
“at this orbit, with that concentration of equipment one failed screw would loosen from one satellite. That screw would hit another satellite like a bullet, causing a chain reaction that would encase the entire planet in a debris field. That would greatly diminish, or even end, all future space exploration for mankind”
But I see that’s no longer a concern.

So when aliens from outer space want to know what this world is like, all they have to do is Google.

Google wouldn’t do this out of kindness. They want total control.
There was Mike Nesmith song about that IIRC.

"a fleet of 180 satellites to provide web access"That still provides a pretty narrow bandwidth compared to what is carried by the fiber cable bundle going down my street.

Telling lies
Here I stand
At demand
And it looks like we’ve made it once again
Yes, it looks like we’ve made it once again
Color sound
All around
Wing tip smile
Sees for miles
And it looks like we’ve made it once again
Yes, it looks like we’ve made it once again
It’s a very extraordinary scene
To those who don’t understand
But what you have seen you must believe
If you can
If you can

Smiling down
Telling more
Than before
And it looks like we’ve made it once again
Yes, it looks like we’ve made it to the end

I hope they've looked into the practicality of the Device on the ground.
Communicating with a satellite takes a fair amount of Battery power.
This has got to be purchased and charged ,by somebody with very few financial resources, living in the middle of nowhere...

You support them every day. Why, you did by even posting on this page...
Just check the source, like so many sites, FR uses Google Analytics which Google uses to analyze behaviors. IMO, there is little risk, but it might bother you.

OOPS!
I guess they didn’t quite think this thru................
Sending data UP uses a whole lot more energy than getting it down!...........
