Johnson is the most conservative elected official from Wisconsin in a generation……but go ahead, and believe the Daily Beast if you want to. Part of the coordinated media assualt on the TP/Estab divide in the GOP.

Yep. I see nothing wrong with his quoted statement either. You can huff and puff about being pure from the sidelines or you can actually get elected and nudge the state of ship in that direction.

He represents Wisconsin, for heaven's sake! The last time that state actually voted for a GOP presidential candidate was in the 1984 Reagan 49 state blowout.

Any normal conservative can see actions show him as just another GOP-er...

Using the line "most conservative elected official from Wisconsin" is propaganda to hide his true colors. He's a sell-out GOP-er. Period!

Thank you.

Would people here prefer the other senator from Wisconsin, Tammy Baldwin?

This circular firing squad for conservatives who are not 100% pure disgusts me.

They are starting to talk about Russ Feingold running for his old seat. On a day to day basis I’m very happy with Johnson.

Did you see the way he got in Rockefeller’s face at a committee meeting last week?

So were Johnson's quotes from the RLC in the article real, or were they made up? Did he say this, or not?

“I value the membership of the Tea Party movement. I am right there with them ideologically, I mean, ‘Taxed Enough Already.’ But the groups don’t necessarily represent all of the individuals in the movement. I think the individuals are now realizing they may have been led astray by an individual group or two and they really do understand that they have to win elections,” he said, adding, “My guess is the Tea Party grassroots are maybe a little more flexible.”

That is a damning statement, if he actually said it, and I don't care if it's the Daily Beast or the Daily Caller reporting it.

Johnson may not be quite as conservative as we hoped but if he's a "lib" then so is at least 2/3 of the GOP conference. I don't care what his Supreme Majesty Mark Levin says.

You're right Mr. Wright, screw the media and their attempts to divide Republicans.

If what Johnson was trying to say was that some groups (like the ones that pushed moron Sharron Angle over electable CONSERVATIVES and who constantly push for Paulbots losers) are 'tarded then he's RIGHT.
