I know a lot of Freepers like Tony and have stories about him. It's time to share?

They sure have changed. Rest In Peace, Tony, we miss you.
I sure do miss Tony. RIP
Happy Birthday, Snowman. You were so cool!
Happy Birthday Fellow Freeper, you are missed!
I liked Tony Snow so much subbing for Rush, that I started watching his FOX News Sunday show when I heard him mention it. And that led to watching many other FOX programs, especially Special Report, with Brit Hume. And we’re still loyal FOX fans!

His tribute thread on FR when he passed away in 2008.
Here was a guy that “got it,” who was approachable, funny, confident, clever, and patriotic. Life is so short.
God bless Tony and his family.
I SURE miss his class. What a great loss.
Tony was gracious, inviting us into his office and chatted with us for over an hour. A little about politics, but most of the talk was about our families.
Tony's children had just gotten their report cards and he was so proud of their accomplishments.
You can tell a lot about a person by their surroundings. Tony had photos of his wife and children. Drawings his children had done were posted all around his office.
The FReepers who followed the show arranged for us to give Toy some gifts, including a cussin' jar for his radio show. I suspect Bob Beckel put more than one quarter in it.
We also gave him a Pajama Patrol badge, and few other FR items.
Then we got the tour of the studio we met Surfer Boy and then went into his radio studio. What a MESS, but cool. We sat in while he did a Vermont Teddy Bear commercial. I have several photos of our mtg. If you google Tony Snow cussin' jar a photo of Tony will show up, that was part of that meeting.
“I SURE miss his class.”
For years now——All we see is CRASS!
So miss Tony...we saw him in concert with his band...great show
Been gone all day and dashed to the keyboard to add my “Happy Birthday” prayers for Tony before midnight. Thank you Loud Mime for posting this thread. Not sure I can remember how anymore.
Loud Mime, I see you have retired......congratulations. More time to write more books?! I was surprised that saveliberty didn’t make it here. Hope she is OK. Good to see SnowFlake mware made it. Lastly, great pix of Tony. (Of course, that is your specialty) Glad to see Jay Carney step down. He was awful & every time I saw him, I couldn’t help but think of how terrific Tony was. As was Dana Perino who Tony mentored. These past 5+ years under Obama have been awful. Midnight has passed so I am off, perhaps to sleep? Thank you again so very much for keeping the Tony Snow flame alive.
Thanks for that memory. Darn. Tony was a friend to many of us.
great story!!
REBLOG for tomorrow.
