The amendment seems innocuous. It seems to address only campaign finance when in fact its effect has a much larger range. Senator Cruz is drawing attention to this fact and I heartily approve.

Mea culpa. Now that I've calmed down, Cruz isn't talking about the Senate amending the Constitution. He's talking about the Senate introducing some bill which, if the RINO-controlled House supports it will effectively neutralize 1st Amendment; not same thing as amending the Constitution.

t remains that unless the House actually agrees with the Senate's bill that it will go nowhere. So I still like my election year theories.

Otherwise, am I still overlooking something?
