Over the last 12 years, Democrats have become significantly more accepting of liberal positions on moral issues such as abortion, premarital sex, extramarital affair, suicide, polygamy and homosexuality, while Republicans' views on these issues have changed little, according to a new Gallup poll.
Since 2002, Democrats have become considerably more tolerant on at least 10 moral issues, which include abortion, sex between an unmarried man and woman, extramarital affairs, cloning humans, divorce, cloning animals, suicide, research using stem cells from human embryos, polygamy, and gay and lesbian relations, according to the Gallup poll released Friday.
The change among Democrats has been substantial in some of these issues. For example, in 2003, 52 percent of Democrats felt having a baby outside of wedlock was morally acceptable. This year, 72 percent of Democrats, a 20-percentage-point increase, say it is morally acceptable.
This is not so with Republicans. In 2003, 40 percent of Republicans said it was morally acceptable. Even today, only 40 percent say so – although a higher 50 percent viewed it as morally acceptable last year, Gallup said.
However, Republicans are slightly more accepting of gay and lesbian relations, sex between an unmarried man and woman and divorce than they were in 2001, when these questions were first asked, the poll points out.

The moment GOD is taken out of the picture, there is little point in talking about moral ASCENT or DECLINE.
It all becomes a personal preference.
The Democrats have voted to exclude acknowledging GOD in their platform.
Of course, when this was realized to be disastrous politically, they voted rapidly switched back to acknowledge God ( but it still isn’t sure whether most Democrats want this ).

Liberals are always telling me that they haven’t changed, it’s the right that has moved so far to the right in recent years. I keep saying “BS”, but arguing with a liberal is like getting a cat to obey orders.

BTW, there was a time Christian churches preached morality. It's pretty rare now. When the church gives up, this is what happens.

That’s subjective. I’m far worse off since Obama ascended the throne and it can be directly attributed to his poor economic policies.
What do you expect from a party that has a beloved icon (JFK) who cheated on his wife thousands of times and still they worship him.
The Church never gives up on what matters to God. Groups pretending to be the Church have and will. In spite of that God changes not. We don’t break God’s commandments, we only break ourselves on them.
And that is why the country is going to hell.
I agree that Democrats(Liberals) accept immorality. It goes further than ethics and morals, the Democrats(Liberals) actually side with the criminal element of our society.
These are the same folks who cheered when it was proposed that the word “God” be taken out of their Party Platform at their convention a few years ago.
What they think is freedom, is bondage of the worst kind.
Demonrats are way past "more accepting of immorallity." In their actions the Demonrats have plummeted far below the hull-crushing depths of moral depravity, into the perverted bowels of hell, where Lucifer daily pleasures himself with the satanic behavior of Demonrats. With every breath of oxygen they steal, Demonrats promote genocidal murder of unborn children, perversion, theft, social destruction, treason, and every other abomination.
To characterize Demonrats with the most vile and obscene label is to insult the honor and dignity of such label.
