Following the wild success of #BringBackOurGirls pushed by Hillary Clinton and others as a response to Boko Haram's abduction of over 200 school girls Michael Bloomberg's newest gun control venture Everytown for Gun Safety is pushing the hashtag #NotOneMore

I refuse to (over) follow these “mass” murders and the aftermath.
But I have to ask, has *anyone* blamed the murderer? Has anyone shown an interest in his parents and their stewardship as parents? Being the father is in the movie industry I automatically made the assumption that they are lefties, usually pretty good betting odds.
Go to Chicago or Atlanta or DC first.
This new push for gun control is the result of the Bundy ranch stand off. That scared the hell out of the Statists, and they are going to use every event they can as an excuse to disarm America.
I don’t know, there are an awful lot of stupid people in the word. Even a sizable number of FReepers seem to have a fantasy that stiffer penalties against criminals using guns will somehow deter criminals from using guns.
On Christmas of 2012 a guy set a fire in upstate NY and ambushed firemen. It turned out that the shooter was an ex con who had done time for beating his own grandmother to death with a hammer. The gun was bought by a straw buyer. It doesn’t appear that he was too concerned about being penalized for having a weapon he wasn’t supposed to have.
Call me crazy but I am of the opinion that the best deterrent in that case would have been for the guy to remain in prison for the rest of his life for beating his grandmother to death with a hammer.
#NotOneMoreDefenselessVictim — Join the NRA, GOA, ....
Easy way to counter this is to reference that Washington Post article yesterday showing that the cops didn’t bother to look at CA’s registration database, where they would have been able to tie out their existing knowlege that he was suicidal with information that he’d bought three handguns and 40 magazines.
Iow, existing laws and resources aren’t being used, which is an arguement against implementing even more laws and resources that won’t be used ...
Is this what they are looking for? The Troll possibilities are hilarious...
It is just psychological. Idiot gun-grabbers see themselves and those around them as not being responsible enough to possess a firearm. They have a phobia of guns.
Yet, without a firearm, they retain the phobia about those that may possess a firearm. This pathology has an element of immature narcissism that projects this irresponsibility in everyone.
Therefore, everyone must be dis-possessed of firearms.
What this country really needs right now is some “comprehensive politician reform.” The public servants are out of control and are sticking it to the American people.
I’m not concerned about it, Mikey.
Do you know why?
Because I am armed.
Possibly an unarmed hijacking of the # tag will occur. As you said, the possibilities are endless.
#NotOneMoreBMWDeath...I’m starting a campaign against using BMWs as a murder weapon. Those people should use Yugos.
Plenty of people are blaming him. There is plenty of evidence that he had some sort of psychotic illness, which manifested at a very young age. Dr. Ablow over at Fox News (predictably) blamed the broken mental health system for the fact that this kid was not prevented from this act, despite giving all kinds of warning beforehand.
I do not know how much blame his parents really deserve. Yes, he came from a broken home--but so have millions of others (including myself) who never commit a crime. His childhood was somewhat privileged (usually, poverty is blamed for criminal behavior). Judging by news reports, his parents did try to do what they could, but the laws regarding mentally ill persons probably tied their hands. It is extremely difficult to commit someone indefinitely to a mental institution; in the past, people with psychotic illnesses were committed as children and lived their lives institutionalized so they never had the chance to act out their violent desires. Today, the mentally ill are almost never institutionalized.

Which radio host said that?
I know that guns are in the California state database, but magazines? Unless you live in NYC, you can buy all the 10-round magazines you'd ever want on E-bay.
(In that sense, they are much like the other tools that Mr. Rodgers used in his murderous rampage -- machetes, hammers and BMWs.)
I think that rabid anti-military fanatics are similar. For them, the only reason to join the military would be to experience the joys of torturing, killing, and destroying without any fear of repercussion. Since that is their militaristic fantasy, they assume that everyone has the same fantasy and that those who join the military are acting out that fantasy.
