WHAT’S MY LINE?

”What’s My Line?” was a panel show that ran on CBS from 1950 to1967, produced by Allen Sherman, who later became famous for his musical parodies.

Back when I did the orchestra miniatures that Leroy Anderson wrote for Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops, I mentioned that one of his miniatures, “Plink! Plank! Plunk!”, a piece for pizzicato strings, was the theme for this show.
