Republican candidates have begun to retreat in recent weeks from their all-out assault on the Affordable Care Act in favor of a more piecemeal approach, suggesting they would preserve some aspects of the law while jettisoning others.

Agree!
Do not underestimate the ability of the stupid party to snatch defeat from certain victory
THE IMPOSITION OF OBAMACARE/ROMNEYCARE
AND DEATH PANELS BY MYTH ROMNEY
It sounds exactly like something the Republican “leadership” would do.
Can’t do a damn thing until we have the Senate. Anything we’ve done has been shot down except for one item.
Give us amnesty and we back off Obamacare deal?.
FULL REPEAL of this socialist nightmare is what the American people DEMAND. Anyone with a functioning brain knows that!
Yes the post is in full propaganda mode.
Toldja.
Listen carefully. ODimwit care is NEVER EVER going to be repealed. Ever. Putting aside the fact that the Dims will always have the filibuster, the WH belongs to the Dims. And let’s just say that a miracle occurs and the GOP takes the WH in 2016. The Dims will have around 57-60 Senate seats.
But the worst part? Not all, but almost all, of the GOPers who rail against ODimwit care don’t mean it at all. They just want our vote.
Bush made all sorts of promises to the Right he never kept. Oh there were a few crumbs tossed our way, but we are as taken advantage of as blacks are by the Dims.
And yet both groups just keep lining up and voting for the SAME people time and time again.
There is only one party....The differences are only for show.
That’s because Benghazi is about run down the RATS like a D-9.
zerocare is turning Americans against the RATS all by itself.
When Americans demand repeal, we got exactly the right guys in place to do it, especially if we can move Gowdy to SOH.
Way to energize your base, GOP!
“Let’s throw away the biggest electoral advantage any political party ever had!” - The Stupid Party.
You should modify your statement “Cant do a damn thing until we have the Senate” to:
“Cant do a damn thing until we have the Senate under control by conservatives.”
The GOPe controlling the Senate makes no real difference than democrats controlling the Senate other than the speed at which socialism progresses.
Bull !
Yes, this is a typical ploy of the Washington Post to drive a wedge into the Republican Party but I believe it is also true.
They will sellout on amnesty and they will sellout on Obamacare just as they have sold out on the debt ceiling and every other major issue.
If they wanted to depress me, they have failed.
The Democrats rely upon Republican stupidity to get their base of gimme-dat and left-wing voters to the polls. Because Obama is an albatross around their necks, they desperately want their voters to feel threatened by something — that they have “entitlements” to lose, and that Obama’s signature achievement is threatened by mean racists, etc. The WaPo wants conservative voters to pressure their reps to take hard positions, and play into the Dems’ hands. Don’t fall for it. If Republicans bust the Dems’ gameplan by shutting up or muddying the waters, they can win.
Conservatives can fire up their own base by going after things that cannot possibly motivate their opponents: Benghazi; Fast & Furious; IRS corruption; foreign policy failures; mistreatment of veterans, etc., not to mention the lack of jobs in a still-dead economy, crushing national debt, coming food hyper-inflation, etc. No need to campaign on the issues that stir up Democrat voters (abortion, war on womyn, military adventures, GLBT-rights, spending reduction, self-defense, etc.). The time for tough talk is AFTER winning the election.
It’s an old story.
The Democrats propose to tear down the Washington Monument, and the Republicans respond with an efficient, sensible plan to do it in three stages.
Seriously do you believe if we take the senate even by a 60 vote majority things would change? We would then hear but we don’t have the White House... And if we took the White House in 2016 there would be another excuse from the Republicans. They are no more interested in small government than the Dimwitocrats. They just want their turn at the feeding trough$$$. It would be nice to have an opposition party in this country.
