President Obama’s commencement address to the graduating cadets at West Point on Monday ignited heated arguments not only across the country, but particularly between Bob Beckel and his four sidekicks on Fox News’ ‘The Five.’
At one point, the stalwart Democrat accused Kimberly Guilfoyle of treasonous speech and her colleagues of maltreatment of the Chief Executive.
The pressure began to build when host Eric Bolling described Obama’s attempt to redefine his foreign policy as “bizarre, telling men and women who have offered their lives in service to our country that the military is just not that important…and that American exceptionalism is that prisoners at Gitmo get treated properly.”
Kimberly Guilfoyle stirred the cauldron when she asked why Obama would deemphasize the military’s value at a West Point graduating ceremony. “Here you have the international community watching…and it was such a disappointing and confusing message,” to them and the officers.

Guilfoyle heightened the tension. “This is the problem,” she said. “I just don’t think he understands––honestly––I really don’t think he has a grasp on what it means to have a cohesive, coherent foreign policy or how to combat the war on terror. We cannot go around to our enemies, ‘Let me hug you and then let me drone you.’”
At this point Beckel exploded, “That’s treasonous, what you just said!” to which Guilfoyle answered, “No, it actually is accurate!”
Beckel retorted, “It is not accurate! The way you guys treat the President of the United States is abysmal and disgusting!”

I would posit that a lot of the invective that was thrown at GWB in the run-up to and during the Iraq war went way beyond legitimate criticism and into the realm of giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Nothing that any of us on the right has said about 0bama comes anywhere close.
I watch The Five so I won’t miss the episode where Fat Bob strokes out.....
He must be on the DNC payroll at this point. How he can sit in that studio every day and attempt to refute the truth with dissembling and aggression is beyond me.

Right after that exchange I tweeted Beckel a message calling John Kerry a traitor and a link to an article about Kerry negotiating with the N. Vietnamese. Keep pushing the sorry commie and he'll go over the deep end on the air.

I know what you mean. I have taken to switching the channel when Beckel is on and then checking back to see if he is finished. Frankly, tho, I don’t know how the Conservatives are ever going to get ahead to the point that they need to since the mainstream media will NEVER EVER support Conservatives. other than places like this, FreeRepublic, Conservatives have to work extra hard to get any where.
