This is, imo, in and of itself a darn good question.
It is one thing for a young unmarried man to not be able to have sex because young women are chaste and saving themselves for marriage.
It's quite another for everybody else to be having lots and lots of sex, or so he thinks since that's the way the world is portrayed, and he's not.
The first is a function of how society and its moral system works, nothing inherently personal, while the second is a personal rejection and obviously more likely to induce resentment and rage.

Much of what Hollywood creates is morally corrosive crap, so there’s bound to be some negative consequences when you feed someone a constant barrage of that view of the world.
