I got here in ‘10, and love it here!

For once, people I voted for won (Patrick, Paxton) - and tea party backed too!

That never happened in my former state; too many liberals...

(But I do miss the 1% cap on property tax. But don’t miss the restrictions on CCW.... we do need open carry here; time to undo that one)

Clarification: undo prohibition on open carry in Texas.

In the major city where I lived, it was impossible to get even CCW permits

If I were running for office in Texas, I’d run on the platform that no one should have to pay more than 1% of their actual property value in property taxes.

Make up the rest with an increased oil/gas production tax.
