JUPITER — A 2-year-old girl found Monday in the bathtub of her Abacoa home and later pronounced dead was the victim of foul play, police say.
The suspect, a 40-year-old woman found unconscious in the home, has been taken into police custody, said Officer Adam Brown, spokesman for the Jupiter Police Department.
Kimberly Lucas, the former domestic partner of the toddler's mother, remains in critical condition at Jupiter Medical Center, police said.
"I don't know why she was found unconscious," Brown said. "She is in custody at the medical center."
Around 1:30 p.m. Monday, police responding to a 911 call about a possible drowning found Elliana Lucas-Jamason in the bathtub of a home in the 3200 block of South Bismark Lane, Brown said.

BTW, these things usually happen with the baby moma and the new boyfriend. Like animals in the wild, the now dominant male kills the young of the once dominant male to prevent the former from spreading his inferior genes....'tis the way of the lion and so forth.
