UKIP have topped the European polls in the UK, with the Labour Party vying with the Conservatives for second place.

Sources from the other main parties have conceded Nigel Farage's party will win, with the leader hailing an "earthquake" in British politics.

It will be the first time a party other than the Conservatives or Labour has topped a nationwide poll for the first time in 108 years.

London in. Now it’s:

UKIP 24
Lab 20
Cons 19
LibD 1

Not surprising. London mostly went for “head in the sand” but still that UKIP got 1 is nice.

People all over Europe have voted against austerity policies. This is a warning to the EU elite.

When the establishment parties of the left and right throw people out of jobs, cut their benefits and abandon European values, they will pay the price.

The EU has gotten too big for its britches.

......”Nigel's UKIP look like they have come in first place”....

That for them is like the Tea Party winning here....which is why some are calling it an “earthquake”.....it is.

The result will be the Parliament will not be able to ram-rod their agenda's through anymore. Not to mention additional countries moving to regain more of their sovereignty away from the EU as there will be less opposition.....thus the "Power" of the Eu will get shortchanged.

What’s odd is the collapse of LibDem support. It sems like perhaps the core split to go Green or bolster Labour. If anything had they stayed resolute, they could have put themselves on par with Labour but the result would have weakened their position slightly overall.

Just like here, the socialists vote Dem because they know their candidates can’t get enough to win and since we’re not a parliamentary system, close don’t count.

People all over Europe have voted against austerity policies. This is a warning to the EU elite.

People are fed up with seeing their countries overrun by immigrants and being run by faceless bureaucrats in Brussels. They want to retain their own cultures and sovereignty.

Watch as the Tories move to the right now. They have no choice—change or die.

I remember when I was in Amsterdam in 92 and all th eleftist were cheering on the “new” EU and i told some of them give it some time and you will be hating it. Well that time has come.

I sure hope we can repeat this, of course, those overseas got wind of some of this at least, from the US. Don’t want to overstate that, Le Penn has been around awhile but as for UK!

And now the spin begins — Mario Draghi, EU Monetary President on EU elections “voters across Europe clearly disengaged.”

No worry - the labor communists and the Coonservative communists will unite against UKIP, just as the GOP-E socialists have united with the Democrat communists to stamp out the Tea Party. No establishment party can tolerate a real patriot - and for Labor/Conservative or GOP-E/Democrat, and enemy of my enemy is my friend.

“I’m worse off than I was ten years ago, and there are less British people working now because of immigrants working for a pittance, and there are entire cities being destroyed by immigrants who have no interest in anything other than taking. The majority who work are taking out more in tax credits than they pay in tax. We’re stuck with them now anyway as their children are being born here.
I fail to see how leaving the EU will be worse than the road we are heading down. I’d rather pay an extra few pence in the pound if it means getting our country back.”

...”Congratulations to Nigel!”.....

I’ve listened to Nigel since he first went up against the European Parliment and the “UN-elected” officials represented among them, who make decisions which few if any in England can even keep up with let alone understand.

He’s been hammering and hammering for years, death threats and a host of other abuses against him as he went....until the European States began to listen.

He’s an exceptional and dramatic statesman who cares not if he offends the EU Members.....one voice among the many for years now, who speaks the truth to leaders who willing shove their heads into the sand. Well, Now they’re listening to the people! At least for the moment.....

I’m very happy for this...he has more than earned it!

And don’t we have our own austerity measures in this country courtesy of our own Uniparty led by Obamacare including Republican governors who approve the expansion of Medicaid under it like Pence in Indiana, Scott in Florida, Corbett in Pennsylvania and many others.

Then there’s the Murray-Ryan federal budget in place now that created new taxes and cut military pensions.

Once the employer mandate kicks in next year and 30 hour jobs become more common without medical benefits, where will many people be?
