Watched Colin Powell on PBS’ National Memorial Day Concert tonight. He’s right - veterans should be the first ones in line getting jobs in this country. Why not hire vets to run the V.A. hospitals? Can’t think of a better group of people to run the system! They’re the ones who know what’s better for vets, have the experience of dealing with their fellow US Armed Forces personnel and know what their needs are.
President Obama: Sign an Executive Order to make this happen!!

The first thing Powell needs to do is talk to his buddies in the govt and ask them to STOP killing any jobs at all, and TAKE AN INTEREST in the plight of our service members needing the VA.
But he is right, qualified veterans should get help in getting jobs.
(Watching him right now....he is not on my list of favorite persons.)
I like the plan for having veterans run the system. They surely would run it better than it has/is being run.
