Detroit women are turning to abortion at a staggering rate as poverty and crime grip the city, with more than one-third of pregnancies being terminated. According to 2012 figures, the most recent year for which data are available, 31 percent of pregnancies among Detroit residents ended in abortion — compared to about 14 percent for all of Michigan, The Detroit News reported. (Snip) Dr. Susan Schooley, chairwoman of the Department of Family Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital, said the statistics make Detroit look “more like some Third-World country than someplace in the United States.”

I’ve been lurking on FreeRepublic for, well … forever! I’m always on the lookout for folks like you who share my views. Your Anti-Christian rant was spectacular, absolutely grand. Let me count the ways:

Where is the Anglo Christian population replacement number headed but to extinction. God wipes out entirely whole populations given over to themselves, whom He will, it seems quite proven.
Like dominoes the denominations fell, reluctantly at first, then cascading. Now the Catholic Church holds the commandment, but becomes silent on the teaching. The catalyst for the non war death culture is relatively ignored among Christians.

I remember a girl 2 classes ahead of me (I was Sophomore and she was Senior) had to go to Oklahoma for abortion.. (wasn’t me that ‘gave her the burden’, but Her mom was full blown Democrap.. that’s pretty much all I remember.. was decades ago :p).. Also, would have never been in same room with her (the Senior).. she was a well known $1ut (Lord forgive me for judging :/)..
Wife and I had a friend before we got married and got pregnant. She had an abortion and tried to commit suicide several years later. She failed and got right with God.
Not a nice story to hear.. but it had a good ending.. :/ I can’t even imagine being a woman to live with the guilt of same situation.. :/
BUT.. had negative feelings toward my ex-wife for years (still today) for her letting her mother tell her to get abortion .. :( (Another story, and decade in past..)..
I do not, and never will, condemn women for using whatever means necessary to avoid pregnancy-whether it is the pill, IUD, condoms, whatever. There are many reasons a woman might not want to get pregnant, and she has every right to use available means of preventing it.
To me, a far worse sin is to kill a baby in the womb. The brain forms between 3 and 5 weeks after conception—so the baby is able to feel and suffer the pain of abortion any time from that age onward.
