They are scratching for anyone, or anything else to blame but their son. First, you had the excuse of “well, we contacted the police about him, they must not have done their jobs” line of argument. This fails when you consider that the actual threatening video was posted online only on the day of the horrific crimes he committed. Second, the murderer’s family tries mightily to shift blame to the NRA, anti-gun control politicians and anyone else they disagree with politically. The bottom line remains that their son came from the very weird Big Hollywood “culture” and he had talked extensively of watching porn online.
In one of the videos he made his behavior was one which was that of a psychotic. His mannerisms seem to be that of a comic book character….his wording and phrasing,….. his sardonic laughter…. his grandiose plans to kill…….his view of the world which fails to see his godhood and magnificence, something which only he can see.
His parents failed to see his psychosis, and others paid the ultimate price.
The father's conniption fit is the same as his son's, but he seems to be sociopathic, not psychotic. But, in his mind everyone else is to be blamed. His minimalistic mention of the people his son killed were only tangential to the magnitude of the killers death. He exhibited no shame, no sadness for deaths caused by his progeny. He spent his time extolling the virtue of his murderous son and for his finally he assigned blame to others who had nothing to do with this hideous event.
