There has always been a long-distance connection between the Irish in Belfast, and ‘the States’.

I have known of these sort of affiliations, long before the Internet came around. Facebook has always been a joke, as has Twitter.
I had pen-and-ink, (yes juror jeanette, people used to actually write), writings from folks both here in America, and from both sides of the wall in Northern Ireland. The hatred of the local ‘Paddy’, by the bloodlined English goes way back.
That’s a cryptic post. What does that have to do with what Sinn Féin is, and the political ties via the European Union?
