House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., repeatedly put the blame for the Veterans Affairs scandal on former President George W. Bush, while arguing that her party has worked hard for veterans in recent years.
Pelosi took a shot at Bush while saying that the scandal is a high priority for Obama. "He sees the ramifications of some seeds that were sown a long time ago, when you have two wars over a long period of time and many, many more, millions more veterans," she told reporters during her Thursday press briefing. "And so, I know that he is upset about it."
The Democratic leader never mentioned Bush by name, but she alluded to him early and often in the press briefing.
"Maybe when we go into war, we should be thinking about its consequences and its ramifications," Pelosi said while discussing the scandal. "You would think that would be a given, but maybe it wasn't. And so, we go in a war in Afghanistan, leave Afghanistan for Iraq with unfinished business in Afghanistan. Ten years later, we have all of these additional veterans. In the past five years, two million more veterans needing benefits from the VA. That's a huge, huge increase."

Can you imagine living in a house for six years, complaining about a still leaky faucet that the previous owner didn’t fix?
These Lefties like Pelosi will do anything, say anything to prove evolution. Why Democrats are mostly small in stature. Easier to duck responsibility. It’s also the reason they are so damned loud.
The response needs to be along these lines to get through people’s thick skulls. George Bush left the White House when a lot of this month’s high school graduates were in junior high. Enough with the excuses and blaming someone who’s been gone for that long. Perspective is key, and our side failed to make basic cases by not putting it in relate-able terms.
If our side says ‘quit blaming GWB’, and their side says it’s GWBs fault. It’s too easy for the LIVs to just ignore our point and fall in line. We have to win on perspective.
Same as unemployment....say...wow it was _.__% in the sixth year of the past presidency and above 6% now. Arguments like this must be repeated often.
Whether Bush was mentioned at all, the problems with the VA have been systemic for years, and only recently have been utilized as a political tool to be bantered around Washington for political scoring points in the media, which in my opinion, has been complicit with every single scandal which has plagued administrations for decades...
Pelosi has no soul, therefore will rot in hell regardless if she had meant to say its Clinton’s or Carter’s or any other administrations fault for these deaths...
Veterans have been dying at the VA for decades...No big news revelation there...

I’m shocked that it took her so many days to come up with that one.
I’m sure, now that she is sending troops to Nigeria that the same mistakes of veteran care won’t be made again.

Must be why 40 have died waiting for a doctor and it’s her idea of helping keep a democrat in office if you like the way things are going.
The Democrats used the VA Scandal to help win the first election. So what has the President done to fix it? Trick question since we all know if it does not advance the socialist agenda of the left, this administration is not interested in doing anything.
