When my son graduated the School of Infantry at Pendleton, I remarked to the guys giving the parent orientation that surely the Marines was the most expensive branch of the services just because they have so much stuff available! He is at Camp Johnson waiting for his Marine Occupational Specialty school to start, but he may have quite a wait for an available slot.
