It is better for a child to live in relative poverty - sharing a room with several siblings, like at my house - in a normal family, than to have every economic advantage but lack a married mother and father.

Exactly.

BTW, I come from a family of 11. We kids shared rooms, and we did not live in poverty. And when I was growing up, we had one bathroom until we moved when I was 12, and I am just one under the middle child.

Great times. Sharing a room with my next youngest sister gave us lots of quality time together.

Big families are great and teach kids how to get along in society.
