"I now believe global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night."
That's what Pat Sajak, host of Wheel of Fortune, posted on Twitter Monday night. Then, after facing criticism from his followers, Sajak doubled down on his denial by tweeting:
"Sometimes it's fun to poke a stick in a hornets' nest just to hear the buzzing."
Unlike Wheel of Fortune, climate change isn't a game. And, while Pat Sajak is just a gameshow host and not an authority on climate change, he also has the privilege of addressing a nightly national audience. Calling many of his viewers who accept the science on climate change, unpatriotic racists is unacceptable. It's this exact kind of inhumane denial from people like him that contributes to public confusion on climate change. If enough of us speak up now to demand that Sony Pictures fire Sajak, we can show this dangerous denial won't be tolerated.

At worek right now...is there another “open” source for the photo. My firewall blocks tinypic.com
Sajak should stay and the show must go on. Strange as it may seem to many, there are a lot of people who like that show and most of those who do will not be offended by anything he has said.
If anything this will anger a lot of people. My dad and stepmom aren’t terribly political but they have watched wheel of fortune every single night for 25 years or more.
And ANOTHER incident where free speech is being slapped down by the lib PC crowd.
They have no self-awareness at all and their irony and sarcasm meters run on solar-cells that wound down years ago.
"I now believe many global warming alarmists are unpatriotic racists knowingly misleading for their own ends. Good night."
I'd agree with him there. I also believe that many other global warming alarmists are just ignorant, therefore gullible. For all their 21st century technology, they are like tribesmen in the 1800s who credited white men for causing solar eclipses simply because those men possessed an almanac and a pocketwatch. Today, ignorance of earth geology sets them up to assume it isn't wholesale lunacy to think "science" can identify and manipulate global climate trends on a relative scale where 10,000 years (only half of which humans can even follow their own scant history) is a nanosecond in reality.
I have faith in all those wonderful American boys who learned their dinosaur history, thank God for Michael Crichton, RIP. Down deep on a level they don't quite fathom, they know Gore and green weenies are frauds. The math crunches in their brains, though: About 65 million years ago since the last dinosaurs, who pretty much ruled the planet for more than what, 300 million years? And during that time were nearly wiped out twice. Two major extinction events -- three if you count the last one 65 million years ago.
And these guys are talking about climate records that go back 50 years? Ice core drillings that go back 10,000 years?
Knowledge is power, and I firmly believe that the seed is planted for a powerful crop of Americans who will ultimately see through the green weenie pretense of "saving the planet" that aims to deprive them of their right to feed and shelter themselves.
The green agenda is misguided to the point of being fatally destructive. It is, as they like to say, "unsustainable," and will fail in any case.
LOL!! {^)
BULLSEYE!!
Wow -- well said!
That’s known as “getting your panties in a bunch”
i believe we need to start a counter-movement to give Pat Sajak a raise and extend his current contract.
4 billion years of continuous climate change put man on Earth.
Climate change is impossible to stop, adapt or die.
