Does anyone know what Chris has done to refute this? I think it's a mistake to try and ignore it as this is the kind of dirty politics that GOPe win with.
Last stand? LOL
“The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”
But...but... the MSM and Dems like Debbie Wasserman Sergeant-Schultz, said that the Tea Party had become and absorbed the GOP - that the Tea Party was actually indeed victorious?
Which one is it?
Philip and Robert of WaPo need to talk to Wasserman Sergeant-Schultz.
What they fail to understand or mention Is that the presence of the Tea Party candidate causes them to be more Conservative than they otherwise would. Thy are forced to at least mouth platitudes and act a little less forward due to the fact that they know that someone is watching.
What? Which e-fossil is this article written about?
"Political pundits love to role-play as coroners, but they aren't very good at it," Tea Party Express Executive Director Taylor Budowich said after wins Tuesday night in Nebraska and West Virginia. "The mainstream media has been pushing the recycled 'Tea Party is Dead' headlines, but tonight's results show how again they've got it wrong. What these pundits don't understand is ... the broad appeal of the Tea Party's message of fiscal responsibility and economic growth."
I didn’t know that the TEA Party was an organized political entity and was actually running candidates, like these beltway know-it all seem to think.
ping
WaPo pouring it on against a party that doesn’t exist. I wonder if they realize we’re laughing at them?

Incumbancy wins 95% of the time. Need term limits.
We’ll see how the TEA party does in all the open seats/red state dem seats coming up in November.
It's a long march, and we're just getting started.
vote fraud goes a long way and it’s not just the democrats who are guilty. The republican establishment engaging in vote fraud to retain their ilk in office is a must because they need the Tea Party dead and buried. The reports in the past few days of the incumbents beating the Tea Party challengers in the primaries leaves the establishment proclaiming the death of the Tea Party movement. Since the establishment in DC is controlled by the world oligarchs, it will be impossible for the people to return this country to a Constitutional Republic through a corrupted election system.
And it's good that the article included this about the Republican Party. The ruling class of the Republican Party has become much more explicit in its attacks on conservatives than they used to be. Theyve designed a better mechanism to keep their power.
I remember. You cannot get more explicit than this 1964 Rockefeller Republican declaration: "We have to destroy Barry Goldwater as a member of the human race." We're all Barry Goldwaters now in the opinion of the ruling class of the Republican Party. Purveyors of hate I recall that Mitt Romney's father George called us Goldwater supporters.
Suddenly the goal posts have been moved further by the Compost. Everyone knows that the hardest thing in politics is to defeat an incumbent. Tea party candidates have triumphed in primaries to fill open seats, but Wapo conveniently does not count those in the way they count! What a disgusting piece of crap “news”paper.
Tea Party might be doing better if it actually stood for something.
It strikes me as peculiar that the "Tea Party" is referred to as a legitimate, organized, and established "party", when it's no such thing. I mean, it's a general descriptive and legitimate nickname, and there ARE organized groups with the name that back specific candidates, but I've yet to see a ballot that lists a candidate's party affiliation as "Tea"!
We have partisan primaries in Ohio...my choices were Republican, Democrat, or issues only. No primaries for Green, Libertarian, Constitution, or Tea parties.
The "Tea Party" name may be losing it's luster (?) but I doubt the people who were/are involved in actual organized groups have changed their minds about anything, they just want candidates who can win! That's what the primaries are for, and at grass roots and state levels, it's been successful...at the Federal level, and particularly with incumbents, it's like the "mills of God", but we WILL get there, eventually...IMHO.
He issued a statement IMMEDIATELY calling the behavior of the blogger reprehensible, etc., etc., etc., and IIRC, offered sympathy to the Cochran family.
