I actually really enjoyed this season, although my personal favorite only came in 3rd.

I thought the talent was unusually good this year, and it really came down to more of which music genre you preferred than the talent of the particular artists.

“I actually really enjoyed this season, although my personal favorite only came in 3rd.”

I thought this season, American Idol jumped the shark. Worst ever to our home.

“I thought the talent was unusually good this year, and it really came down to more of which music genre you preferred than the talent of the particular artists.”

Mostly mediocre talent compared to what happened at The Voice.

We must not have been watching the same show!

I liked that guy too. I don’t think he was the strongest singer of the three finalists, but he has a stage presence and a sense of entertaining that will garner a healthy career.

I tuned out most of the year and only saw the top 3. I thought they were all great choices and could have seen any of them win.

I got a real kick out of watching Idol this year, too. Started watching because my 81-yr old mother is a fan, so it gave us something to talk about. I ended up really enjoying it! The finalists were all extremely talented, the judges stayed classy and upbeat, the music direction by Rickey Minor was fantastic, and the whole production was outstanding. Ryan Seacrest is a classic television host such as we don’t see any more.

I was a Jena fan because of her wide performance range, but Caleb is a bit more mature, he’s a classic rock artist with a huge talent, and he deserves a shot at the major leagues. They both have a solid career ahead of them, so I hope they stay clean and have a positive experience with it. Some of the past Idols seem to have walked away from fame, which was probably the better decision for them personally. I was in and out of the music business at a young age, and am familiar with some of the realities.
