I wonder if Jesus would have said something else had he lived after the rise of Islam.

I just can’t see “turn the other cheek” working when dealing with Muslims. It certainly didn’t work for Christian Rome.

Since Jesus is divine and knows the future, he knew these things would happen when He said what He did. He told us we would be killed for following Him.

You really think Jesus didn't know about Islam? He's Timeless since He's fully God & fully Man.

He also says vengeance is mine several times in both Old & New Testaments. Sometimes delayed vengeance is the best kind actually.
