McDaniel supporters have also questioned the Madison Police Department and wondered whether the cops coordinated with the Cochran campaign. Erick Erickson, the editor-in-chief of the conservative political blog RedState, wrote a post Monday noting the lack of press releases from the department has issued this year before issuing a flurry of announcements on the Kelly investigation. Erickson said this disparity made him wonder if it was a "coordinated hit" on McDaniel.

I don’t see it as an advantage. It makes Senator Cochran look old and incapable of protecting his wife. He won’t debate. His staff calls all the shots. Cochran doesn’t look good in this.
As I already stated, Mississippi politics is a dirty business. The forces that move and shake things have their own ways of doing things. Unless you are willing to get dirty, too, you don’t get involved.
I really think he wanted to retire, but Barbour couldn’t stand the thought of not being able to stick his snout in the trough anymore.

As I said yesterday, the candidate I agree with 100% is Bill Marcy. Who, having been shunned by the state GOP, is running as a dim. Looking at his platform it’s no wonder the state GOPe doesn’t want him.
Hubby and I voted for him when he ran against Bennie the commie. Course, truth be told I’d vote for the devil himself before I voted for Bennie the commie.

They had some colorful governors in the past who professed segregation. People in MS usually stick with the familiar incumbent.
