And not one person would have been killed if the climbers hadn’t been there. No one lives there and there are no towns there.
And they are there for the excitement and risk. That is all part of it. If the altitude doesn’t get you, the snow and bitter cold will. And, BTW, there is a risk of avalanches.
There are plenty of other places to hike where there is virtually no risk. Especially here in Colorado.
