he ACLU says it expects a federal judge will issue his decision Tuesday in its challenge to Pennsylvanias ban on same-sex marriage,
The civil liberties group, which is representing plaintiffs in the closely-watched case, said in a press release that it plans to hold rallies in major cities across the state, including Philadelphia, regardless of the outcome.
The ACLU sued Gov. Corbett and his administration last July on behalf of 23 plaintiffs over the state's 1996 ban, which prohibits same-sex marriage in Pennsylvania and does not recognize such marriages performed elsewhere.

Looks like states are falling to the homosexual agenda at a rate of 1 a day. Oregon today and now Pennsylvania. The last 13 decisions went against us, so it is easy to predict what this judge will rule. So far I see no organized effort to rise up, to resist this, or to hold the unelected judges accountable. Seems like people are willing to just sit down and take it.
Why is this? Some guy doesn't want to pay the feds for grazing his cows on federal land, its a national story. Thousands of patriots drive in from across the nation, word of revolution spreads, and for once the federal government is forced to back the hell off. But 14 states have popular vote enacted marriage amendments overturned by corrupt and unaccountable judges: barely any protest, no national outcry, no movement to end this, and everyone seems to kind of shrug this off as a done deal.
This was THE issue that put Bush back in the White House. What happened?
It is a test and it is an opportunity.
God wants us to get back to our roots in the love of God. We’ve been proud of ourselves, patting ourselves on the back, and now an issue comes down the road where that model is wholly inadequate. The power of God is needed.
You’ll get the occasional troll that takes advantage of situations like this to preach the unbiblical lie that homosexuals can’t be saved. And you’ll get others that come close to that, and still others to the other extreme who shrug their shoulders and say “why care?”
Wisdom and truth is found in none of these philosophies. God presents us with a reality larger than ourselves and more complex than we could have dreamed.
There is great opportunity for evangelism done right, as well as opportunity for improving our own relationship with the Lord.
Judge John E. Jones is a Republican, appointed by George W. Bush, for whatever that’s worth these days.
So was John Roberts.
Can I marry my son yet? And his twin brother?
Looks like more states are getting on board the bandwagon.
Looks like more states are getting on board the bandwagon.
How can this be stopped and reversed?
> When will the people rise up against this, or is America truly lost to the perverts?
Look at the bright side. They will end up infecting themselves and destroying their own kind...
Organized effort is exactly what's needed, not just for this travesty but for many others. We really need to support the causes against our society, and there are plenty of them.
We listen to the talking heads on TV and radio who have the audiences and microphones---but I think they need to rally their listeners to take action---and head up protests all over the country.
I don't think it's a great hardship for many to give up some vacation time, or maybe even retirement days, to gather in their home towns to protest the outrageous acts which are destroying our country and our values which have stood us well for so long.
For those who can travel, why not go to one of the current problem areas and join a protest there?
I'm 76 yrs. old so this crap won't affect me for too long, but I still care. My kids, our kids, should make this one of their priorities, IMO.
Maybe I am just being pessimistic. I hope I am.
That may very well happen and already does happen. The problem at hand is their insistence on changing the meaning of marriage. No matter what they think or say, hopefully most of us don't consider any "marriage" between people of the same sex. It just goes against nature, and as much as some homos want to push it, they can't change the facts. They know it.
Lets start with the fact that the federal judge in this case, John Jones, was appointed by George W. Bush.
Lets also remember Judge Jones’ most famous decision in the Dover case back in 2009. He lambasted a school board controlled by religious conservatives who wanted a disclaimer read in science classes teaching evolution.
I didn’t take a position on evolution versus creationism in the case, but I sure did take a position on freedom of speech to express one’s view in favor of creationism and was pulverized on this site by those whose opinions were strongly in favor of evolution as the ultimate truth.
I’m not arguing about the merits of gay marriage, but I am defending the rights of those who oppose it including their First Amendment rights. Once gay marriage is fully legalized and even now as it is being legalized, the rights of those who oppose it are being violated and will be violated. People are losing jobs, the ability to do business etc. etc. for expressing their beliefs and opinions.
Its on the grounds of our Constitution that the fight will be fought and it will be a fight for freedom......
The problem at hand is their insistence on changing the meaning of marriage
...they do this for one reason...money...they were perfectly content with ‘civil unions’ until some started aging and the estates were going to be settled...in most states, even blood sucking Pennsylvania, spouses are not taxed on estate proceeds, thus the suddenly urgent need to go beyond ‘union’and on to ‘marriage’...
...it should have been illegal, but the states just dropped the ball, shrugged, and said ‘OK, have it your way...’
...exactly the same way the Holy See, when confronted with the illicit widespread practice of communion received in the hand, shrugged and said ‘OK, have it your way...’
...illicit widespread practice of communion received in the hand
Welcome, we have a Roman Catholic Tridentine Mass celebrated every Sunday where Communion is only placed on the tongue. 9 AM, zipcode 33576, St. Anthony, San Ann, FL
Via judge and via our SCOTUS decision via Kennedy. This is war by other means and a political act.
What the leftist judges are doing is not democracy. It’s one thing for the people of Minnesota and Washington state to vote for homosexual marriage (notice when they vote in support of it, no judge ever calls unconstitutional), it’s another thing for a hack judge to overturn a law that was legally rendered by the will of the people.
What these hack judges are doing is very dangerous. With their actions, they are telling us that we do not live in a free society. This is not going to end well for them or the homosexuals.
