The White House is threatening a veto of the House version of a $601 billion defense bill over election-year moves to spare weapons systems and popular programs in the face of limited budgets. [ ]
The White House also complained about the bills limits on the presidents ability to transfer terror suspects being held at the U.S. facility at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba.

Executive Privilege had to be curtailed. Anyone else seeing a problem with an asshole with a pen creating legislation easier than the two legislative body designed for that function?
It’s being vetoed because the amnesty provision was stripped out by Cantor.
I just endured a period of no funded work from May 2013 to Sept 2013. Fortunately, I had over 500 hours of paid vacation accrued over 20+ years. That buffer is burned. I normally keep the number high after my cancer experience in 1985. Next time it happens there is no vacation buffer.
