Well, well, well.
The National Republican Senatorial Committees staff has been all over the internet blaming Chris McDaniel for some nut job videotaping Mrs. Cochran.
Whats more, they claimed that no one knew anything about anything other than the McDaniel campaign.
But now we know theyre lying.
Thad Cochrans campaign knew about it for at least two weeks.
Its unclear why Cochrans attorney, Don Clark, held the information for two weeks before alerting police. Clark did not respond to a request for comment.
Maybe because they needed a couple of weeks to get everything set with the NRSC to coordinate their attack and blame campaign on Chris McDaniel.

For all we know, ever since Cochran learned that a McDaniel supporter had illegally entered his wife’s nursing home room, he has had a security guard posted there. It is instructive that McDaniel supporters are using this incident to make Cochran out to be the bad guy, because of course that was the blogger’s entire intent in committing his despicable act. So you want to gain from it while distancing yourself from it. We’ll see if it works.
I read that Kelly was given a visitors pass. Do they give those out to anyone?
I’m hardly a McDaniel supporter. Not a big fool about him.
I want to know what kind of husband waits TWO WEEKS before alerting the POLICE that his wife has been endangered??? This crazy could have left the country in that amount of time. Or endangered some OTHER little old lady.
Maybe Thad was too busy with Kay?
Maybe he had another overseas taxpaid junket vacation with Kay to attend to?
It’s a little ‘interesting’ that Cochran’s outrage only seemed to happen concurrently with the polling that placed him more than a little behind his opponent. I’m sure that’s a coincidence. /s
And so is the fact that Butler, Snow was involved.
It’s a sad day when the best candidate for that seat in MS is probably Bill Marcy, the dim:
“I read that Kelly was given a visitors pass. Do they give those out to anyone?”
Was that in a post by Black Angus?
It’s ‘Agnes’, not ‘Angus’.
If you’re going to discuss someone, it’s common courtesy to ping them.
I haven’t read anything about how, precisely, kelly got into the facility.
if I had any relations there i’d have moved them asap. It’s obviously not a safe place for little old ladies.
Read it here:

What I’d find even more interesting is when the facility itself became aware that trespassing had occurred and taping/posting of a resident had happened.
Did the Cochrans even alert the facility so they could examine their security procedures in the two WEEKS it took them to find the phone number to the local constabulary?
Did the facility find out when the news hit that they’d had an unwanted intrusion?
Have any personnel records been overwritten (shift records, video of doorways/stairways) or deleted since then?
Two weeks is a lot of time for someone (or someone’s) to cover their tracks before bothering to contact the authorities.
“For all we know, ever since Cochran learned that a McDaniel supporter had illegally entered his wifes nursing home room, he has had a security guard posted there. It is instructive that McDaniel supporters are using this incident to make Cochran out to be the bad guy,...”

drjimmy, I know you (and the Cochran campaign supporters) are trying REALLY hard to spin this to Cochran’s benefit, but it’s really not working.
It’s an IMAGINARY security guard you are positing. If you try to say that “for all we know” Cochran has upped his visits to his wife and ditched his government payroll mistress/taxpayer funded traveling companion, we won’t buy that either. As a matter of fact, I can see nothing to indicate that ANYBODY is buying ANY of what Rove, the NRSC, the Barbours, the Cochran campaign and their mainstream media allies/operatives are trying to sell in Mississippi. They are MORE than a day late and a dollar short.
So I have an imaginary security guard and you have an imaginary mistress. We both know that a McDaniel supporter snuck into the nursing home room of an old woman with advanced dementia and took video of her in order to smear Cochran. And you’re okay with that, since apparently it’s Cochran’s fault his wife is in the nursing home. Despite its best efforts to continue the smear, the McDaniel campaign appears to be imploding after being caught lying about when it first knew about the video. I gotta hand it to Breitbart. Even though it opposes Cochran, it spilled the beans on this.
Which of Cochran’s policies and votes do you support? Do you believe that he is advancing the cause of Conservatism in the U.S. Senate? How do you explain his apparent support of the Democrat agenda? Do you have any financial stake in the outcome of this race? Why do you believe that the reelection of a man who does not seem to reflect in his votes, the will of his constituents, should be reelected?
These are the questions that interest me, not the tactical maneuvers of political hacks that appear to represent a determined defense of the status quo for corrupt purposes.
Disclaimer: I do know a number of scumbag trial lawyers that live near the Country Club of Jackson who see no reason to change anything.
If this is a mortal wound to Chris’ campaign, what can be done by the McDaniel team to “stop the bleeding”
Have no idea. We’ll just have to wait and see. Looks like a setup because Cochran was down in the polls. The people of Mississippi may see this as what it probably is, a desperate ploy for sympathy by a long-in-the-tooth senator who wants to retain power.
I sincerely hope the people aren’t having it.
“...you have an imaginary mistress....”
******************************************************************
Wow, just wow! Cochran is living in the imaginary mistress’s house and has the taxpayers paying the imaginary mistress’s expenses on many, many foreign “work trips” to accompany Cochran.
Your’re losing it at this point. I’d suggest you go back to making your phone calls for the Cochran campaign. That’s a good gig until January 2015.
Corrupt hacks, scumbags, etc. This seems to be the typical Tea Party language, and that alone is enough for me to vote for the incumbent. I would like to think someone representing my state would have supporters who have table manners.
I don’t believe that I have ever been accused of being a Tea Partier, although I did attend the 9/12 rally. The Tea Party is just a manifestation of a popular sentiment against the political establishment that has failed to serve the conservative cause. They aren’t a real party and will never shake the opportunist wannabes that have flocked to their banner.
No, I’m no Tea Partier, but I have no use for Cochran or my own Senator of similar ilk, Pat Roberts.
Even google images thinks the ‘imaginary mistress’ is Mrs. Thad Cochran. Don’t believe me? Do and image search for that term. That nice older lady? Not the real Mrs. Cochran.
No corruption here:
“Cochran fought hard to be sure no-bid contracts were part of the Katrina relief package and that Barbour held the reins of the spending, so Barbour and his cronies could make out like bandits.
It was Cochrans long-time engineering cronies who received the large fees associated with readjusting population numbers for water and sewer projects. It was Barbours niece who bilked the federal government out of money for portable toilets and portable showers, that in turn brought an FBI investigation and fraud convictions. And it was Henry Barbour, despite having no experience in disaster relief, that was named as head of then Gov. Barbours Commission on Recovery, Rebuilding and Renewal.”
I was in New Orleans and Mississippi in the days following Katrina and saw evidence of this first hand. I do not know if Barbour and Cochran were personally involved in the disgusting behavior that I witnessed, but if they were, they deserve to be flogged.
No bid contracts have an ugly look about them. Particularly when the ‘no bid’ goes to a big supporter. And that supporter’s close kin are involved as well.
Oh....so you don't care for the Tea Party, I see.
You were asked A legitimate question. Which of Cochrans policies and votes do you support? You obviously support Cochran, so please tell us which of his policies and votes you support. Thanks.
