Thad Campaign & NRSC Had Weeks to Coordinate McDaniel Attack

Well, well, well.

The National Republican Senatorial Committee’s staff has been all over the internet blaming Chris McDaniel for some nut job videotaping Mrs. Cochran.

What’s more, they claimed that no one knew anything about anything other than the McDaniel campaign.

But now we know they’re lying.

Thad Cochran’s campaign knew about it for at least two weeks.

It’s unclear why Cochran’s attorney, Don Clark, held the information for two weeks before alerting police. Clark did not respond to a request for comment.

Maybe because they needed a couple of weeks to get everything set with the NRSC to coordinate their attack and blame campaign on Chris McDaniel.

“Sen. Thad Cochran’s (R-Miss.) legal team apparently held onto information concerning a man’s taping of the senator’s bedridden wife for as many as two weeks before turning it over to the police....”
*******************************************************************
They took the time needed to put together their smear campaign against McDaniels. The RINO GOP establishment will DO ANYTHING to maintain their hold on power.

Despicable.

Ayup.

Seems it only became important to them when they got wind of the recent poll with McDaniel ahead.

If invading this poor woman’s privacy and taping her is bad, how bad is it to use her as a prop for a campaign issue?

Does no one really care about poor Mrs. Cochran? Poor thrown away Mrs. Cochran.

Thad Cochran’s campaign knew about it for at least two weeks.

This reeks of the sleazy Barbour machine. Your candidate is wounded by stories of his living in D.C. (not MS) and traveling the world with a lady companion not his wife. What to do?

Voila. Through back channels get a low IQ blogger (redundant?) to carry out a stupid and despicable act and then broadcast it in the media and blame it on your opponent.

Except for employing the same tactics against liberal democrats, especially minorities, that is just off limits. Better to lose with grace and dignity than to engage in such harsh tactics against the left. Oh no, those kinds of tactics should only be used on conservatives.

Sickening.

They probably also probably knew the results of that poll that came out today. These people are masters at political timing.

According to Breitbart, the McDaniel campaign also knew about the video for weeks, and in fact had contact with Kelly after he posted it, trying to get him to take it down. Breitbart is no friend of Cochran’s, and has been running pro McDaniel stories, but this one does him no good. His campaign people really blew it on Saturday with conflicting accounts of when McDaniel first learned of this whole thing, and with this new revelation have made this more of a negative McDaniel issue than it otherwise would have been (despite Red State’s best efforts to make it sound like Cochran is the one who did something wrong).

After your loved spouse has been placed in danger (what if he had had a knife or gun?) you wait two WEEKS before you contact the cops?!

Who does this?

the 2 WEEK wait to contact the cops by the Cochrans looks really really really bad.

Who waits two WEEKS to contact the authorities after your loved one has been placed in danger?

?

Yours is an appropriate question. The answer seems to be that attorneys for Cochran were investigating themselves and then turned over what they found to the police. I don't know if that is a good enough answer.

It should also be noted that the McDaniel campaign never contacted Cochran to say "Hey, this crazy supporter of ours took and posted video of your wife in her nursing home room and we told him to take it down. We had nothing to do with it but we're sorry this happened." Nor did the McDaniel campaign itself notify the police that they were aware of this illegal activity conducted by a supporter. That would have been a very smart thing to have done, inoculating themselves against any claims that they were behind it.

Given it was a crazy the mcdaniel campaign had had issues with in the past I’m not sure there were any good avenues for them to take. Any indication of knowledge of the video would be taken as an indication of guilt.

Given that the facility in question is obviously not a safe place for little old ladies, I wonder if the cochran group has even moved her somewhere presumably safer?

Or maybe, like his DC ‘lifestyle’, his campaign has taken precedence over her wellbeing.

The sleazy tactics don’t hold a candle to the revelation of what that debased, debauched, moral black hole Cochran has been up to.

Sexing up his assistant for years and globe-trotting with her on the taxpayer dime, with his wife in a nursing home. Meanwhile enjoying all the power and respect that come with a seat in the U.S. Senate.

I had no idea, and I’m glad I know. And I bet the people of Mississippi are glad, too. They’ve got to throw this low-life reprobate out of office. They shouldn’t even wait for the election. Have a referendum; circulate petitions; bring enough pressure so that he’s forced to resign now.

COME ON, MISSISSIPPI! COCHRAN. MUST. GO.

Oh, and the delay was because they were measuring how much damage they could inflict on McDaniel without hurting Cochran’s campaign.

Clearly revealing the sleazy tactics hurts McDaniel if they can tie them together.

But shining a spotlight on the pix also informs people who didn’t know that Cochran has a living wife in a nursing home while he sluts around. Which hurts him.

Imagine the angst they experienced mulling over their options! I wonder if the girlfriend threw lamps.

Anyway, since McDaniel’s doing well in the polls, they decided to go for hurting McDaniel and risk it backfiring.

Now it’s backfiring.

For what? Sen. Cochran (or his minions) didn’t take the photograph. Like you implied.
