An Arizona rancher and Republican congressional candidate said during a primary debate Saturday that the vast majority of mass shootings in the United States are committed by Democrats.
“If you look at all the fiascos that have occurred, 99 percent of them have been by Democrats pulling their guns out and shooting people,” Gary Kiehne, who is running for the state's 1st U.S. Congressional District, said during Saturday's GOP primary in Florence, Arizona. “So I don’t think you have a problem with the Republicans.”
When asked how he would protect gun rights, Kiehne, a hotel owner and member of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, said he probably owns more guns and ammunition than any of his fellow candidates ("I'm from the country; it's a long ways to town to buy ammo," he said) and that "everyone should own a gun."

I remember other Freepers posting research that showed most/all mass shootings in the past 40 years have been by outright democrats or people with “progressive” political views.

I don’t know about 99%, but I think that 90% is a likely enough figure. Virtually every school or mall shooting I have read about ends up being a leftist perp or a Muslim—or both.
The Left’s going to go ballistic. I’m glad he said it. We need to hear more truths about the democrats/socialists/liberals and their ilk.

This fact should have been trumpeted by the GOP for years. It is right there in the numbers. It is not debatable nor should it be ‘debated’. Merely reiterate the numbers and let the libs scream.
That it has not been pushed heavily by any of the GOP or even the gun groups when it is really such low hanging fruit just goes to show how little any of them WANT to stand up for the gun owning rights of Americans and how little they want to ‘win’ at all.
Yeah. Not only “progressives” but IIRC a high percentage of them were or had been on psychoactive drugs - treated for depression, ADHD, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors, etc.
Can anyone point me to any info to support this claim? I can’t find any.
The only near constants I can find are that all except one were committed by men and almost all had displayed some form of mental illness in advance of the shootings.
The traits that the Democrats have in common are .. oh never mind, I see what point he was trying to make.
I like his views on guns, but not on all issues.
“Kiehne said deporting every illegal immigrant isn’t realistic.
“I don’t believe you can just grab every one of them and send them back to Mexico or wherever they came from,” he said. Instead, he would take an inventory of the people who already are here and place them in work programs if they’re not criminals.
Many illegal immigrants are contributing to society and aren’t asking for citizenship, he said. He would allow those people to apply for work-visa programs that allow them to work here for a limited time. Those programs currently require people to apply from their home country.
“If you really want to look at the cold, hard facts, I challenge you to go to a construction site anywhere around the Phoenix/Tucson/Maricopa area and find a framing crew that can speak English,” he said. “If you like $100-a-square-foot homebuilding costs, you’re gonna love $200-a-square-foot homebuilding costs if you package all of ‘em up and send ‘em home. The truth is they’re here, they’re working.”
Illegal immigrants who are criminals must be deported, he said, and securing the border will help stop smuggling “and the potential terrorists that have been coming across there.”

On 9/16/2013, another mentally ill liberal, Aaron Alexis, killed 12 innocents at the Navy Yard in Washington DC.
12/14/2013 Karl Pierson entered Arapahoe High School in Centennial, Co. armed with a shotgun with intent to kill one of his teachers. He shot Claire Davis, a senior, @Arapahoe High in the head. Yes, Pierson is/was another mentally ill liberal punk. He killed himself when an armed school officer ran towards him.
Gavrilo Princip, the leftwing serb national who assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria and his wife in 1914 and touched off WWI.
