One of these days someone is going to wake up and say “I’m fine, got some water?” and be denied and a judge orders their organs harvested anyway.

She wasn’t, but even if she had been, that wouldn’t justify murdering her.

Back in 1993, PA's Democrat Governor Casey was in dire need of a transplant. "Within hours of announcing that Pennsylvania Governor Robert P. Casey would require a risky heart-and-liver transplant, doctors located donor organs of the right tissue, blood type, and size for the governor", from a recently murdered man.

I would not want to be in a hospital at the same time that a VIP needed a transplant, if I was a tissue match.

I have heard from TWO nurses, that these body-snatchers won’t give you certain kinds of chemotherapy or medicines if you are an organ donor, because they will make the body parts unusable.

If that wasn’t sarcasm, then you are naive.

I’m sure they aren’t anxious to declare someone dead

You are misinformed. You have to be alive to donate those lungs, kidneys, your heart. Once you are dead your organs aren't usable.

They use the term "brain dead" because otherwise no relative would sign the organs away.

I’m not misinformed, I misspoke. Of course they have to still be alive. That’s why they don’t really care that much if they’re viable, because there is money to be made.

I’m amazed that a lot of people don’t understand that the donor is still alive when the organs are taken.

The notion of ‘brain dead’ varies depending on location. It’s pretty much uniform in this country - (depending on who is deciding if the patient meets the criteria) - but other places have different criteria.
