Lois Lerner, the IRS official held in contempt of Congress on May 7, is a proud American and the daughter of a war hero, according to her stepmother.
Svetluse Kramosilova Lerner, 73, said Air Force Major Martin Lerner who died in 2008 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery would be very proud of Lois for standing up to Congress.
Lerner invoked her Fifth Amendment right to avoid self-incrimination and refused to answer any questions about the IRS targeting of conservative groups.
But shes a patriot, like her dad, her stepmom says...

The son of my uncle’s sister thinks Lois Lerner can drop dead.
Loyalty to the Statists is NOT patriotism.
Only if he, like her, saw government as an instrument to punish political enemies.
Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union had patriots too.
Why isn’t Lois being frog-marched to a jail cell?
Darrell? Bonehead? Anyone? ... Hello? (crickets)
And Governmental Statist Oppression of those who disagree with the Ruling Party is definitely NOT AMERICAN patriotism. It may be Stalinist “patriotism” at best.
I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that you are the son of your uncle’s sister. B^)
Svetluse Kramosilova must be confusing Joseph Stalin aka Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili (or the Starvation Master)
with her husband and Lerner’s father.
Using the IRS to target “ememies of the people” is about as Bolshevik as one gets.
Well lois I talked to your dad and he says your a traitorous tw@t that is going to hell. So you’re wrong.
wow
did her daddy win the Order of Lenin too?
I think Mr. Cummings forgot the hashtag.
I think Lois Lerner, and her whole family must be daft to believe this was patriotic. Cummings is just his usual self...obnoxious.
You got that right.
I doubt that her war hero dad would have been proud to fight for a government that persecutes its own citizens based upon their political beliefs.
...how come when I stand up to the IRS it’s called a crime?
Sounds like Lois Lerner’s Dad was a true patriot and would NOT approve of Lois’ actions in using the IRS for political purposes.
Svetluse may have some loose screws.
Poor man, can’t even escape a traitorous daughter and a gossipy wife in his grave.
He was a patriotic American who was very fair and square, and he would stand behind his daughter because the whole Congress are a bunch of screwballs!
-(my emphasis - for effect-)
I 'reserve my right' to take this part of the statement out of context.... The headline is a tad misleading - if nothing else.
