I agree. One of Bush’s big problems, in a sense, was that he was a gentleman, and instead of standing up on his hind legs and fighting back against the insane attacks on him, he either shut up and took them quietly (thereby letting people believe they were true) or he made friendly gestures to the opposition, hoping that this would prove his good will.

Also, I have never seen any president attacked the way Bush was.

He also probably stayed away out of consideration for the families and victims, because I’m sure all the Dem and even a lot of conservative loonies who now also suffer from BDS would have been out there making the day a nightmare.

!00% Spot on. Sometimes true valor is invisible while the phonies steal the show.

A few years ago Paul Tibbetts died. He elected to be buried anonymously because he knew his gravesite would be a circus for apologist and revisionists.

That probably has more to do with it, than anything.

Bush picks his fights...

If and when he does enter - we'll all know it's the real deal - and we'd better be ready to fight.

If Obama makes a move to be a dictator - all the ex-Presidents will stand against him... including Clinton. My guess is even Carter...

Hopefully when Obama's time is up he'll take his family back to Chicago and allow the next President to be in charge...

If Bush’s staff or Bush himself would’ve been more responsive to the liberal lies told about him.

More’s the pity.

Simple answer, really. NYC is the heart of “enemy territory”. “Injun Country”.

You must have missed the Reagan years.

IMHO, he understood that people needed to vent and as President, he was the target.

One of my neighbors lost her son fighting in Iraq. He invited her to meet with him in private shortly after her son was killed and met with her twice afterwards. She was very impressed by his graciousness and willingness to hear what she said. She was a veteran, herself, but was still working through her grief during the first visit.
