Well good for you. Maybe he's provided some good constituent services for you or someone you know, that's swell. You have every right to back him. But there's no denying that he's the national establishment choice, that's just a fact. I'd be ok if he won but I think Handel is the better pick.
I think the worst choice (from a conservative standpoint, Paul Broun is the worst choice from an elecibilty standpoint) is Perdue's cousin. Unfortunately he is running first with Kingtson and Handel fighting over the 2nd runoff spot. I'd much prefer it if Perdue was running third.
And to everyone in GA thinking of wasting their vote on Broun, you’d could very well get Perdue/Kington instead of Perdue/Handel.
I’m supporting Handel, and convinced my aunt to vote for her instead of for her first choice, Phil Gingrey (who represented her in Congress until the recent redistricting), by pointing out to her that Gingrey has no chance of making the run-off. I’m not comfortable at all with Perdue’s cousin, since all we have to support his espoused views is his say-so, and would support Kingston over him if those two made the run-off (although I think that Handel has an excellent chance at making the run-off herself). (Now, if Perdue was *Jimmy Carter’s* conservative cousin with no record of his own, then I’d be tempted to support him, since it would greatly embarrass Carter if his cousin got elected. : )
