Insecurity runs deep, even for a bombastic multimillionaire who leads the country's largest personal injury law firm, has hosted President Barack Obama at his 18,000-square-foot mansion and is poised to be the most important man in Florida politics this election cycle other than Charlie Crist and Rick Scott.
Morgan, 57, is leading a high-profile ballot initiative to legalize marijuana in Florida for medical use, and he's a key adviser to former Republican Gov. Crist's unprecedented campaign to win back the Governor's Mansion as a Democrat.
Some wealthy middle-aged businessmen bag trophy wives; Morgan goes for trophy lawyers, and Crist is the biggest trophy and best rainmaker at Morgan & Morgan.
"I'll definitely lose a lot of money if he becomes governor," said Morgan, describing Crist as a magnet for lucrative cases from BP oil, to sinkholes, to a pollution case where damages could approach $100 million. "People call all day long to talk to Charlie. The guy walks down any aisle of Publix and passes out five business cards. Those people call."

“For the people.” No, it’s for fat john’s fat wallet. I used to cringe everytime he “starred” in one of the ads touting how wonderful his law firm is/was.
The number 1 ambulance chaser in the USA.
Slip and fall? I got three words for ya ...
Morgan and Morgan
Crist ended up in the law firm partnered by Morgan. That is all one needs to know about Crist, a political cameleon. Unfortunately Scott is not very popular and the tanned one may win this race which will set Florida back farther into the depths of democrap controlled, something which has not happened since the prune was Governor, er, Childs.
Scott’s attack ads are beginning to work. I heard about a poll today that has the race tightened to almost a dead heat. Unfortunately Baconface hasn’t really started advertising yet.
The JBTs are busy busting growers here too. It seems like they’re trying to scare people right before the election to vote no.
His TV ad has been playing for a couple of months now. The fact that this amendment is on the ballot will bring out the looney left and could help unseat Rick Scott as Governor...and put Morgan’s employee, Charlie Crist, in the Governorship! God forbid!!!
Morgan has all the vocabulary to be the big time liberal that he is. If you believe he wants the marijuana laws loosened just for his father and brother, I have some swamp land in south Florida to sell you. Trust me, it's to bring out the liberal stoners to vote for Crist as well as the thought of all those liability suits that driving or living stoned will bring to his firm. He truly is thinking three years out.

Lawsuits Cost Florida Families $3,400 Each Per Year
This group is going after the Morgans, et al.
“Lawsuits Cost Florida Families $3,400 Each Per Year.”
Thanks for your reply. The TV ads for trial lawyers follow one after the other down here, with happy plaintiffs crowing about the high $ award so-and-so, Esq. won for them. It’s sickening.
Here in Indiana, they are most often seen during Jerry Springer and Maury.
Here in Central Florida there’s one shyster who calls himself ‘The MD/JD’ who claims to be a lawyer and a doctor who really knows how get into the deep pockets of the healthcare industry.
“The Hammer”. Nice touch. ;o)
Morgan and Morgan... for the people. It is their slogan, but it’s BS. They are not for the people, but for THEMSELVES.
Scott is not as popular, but Orange skinned Charlie would be worse. As a Republican he was bad, as a Dem he might be worse. Of course, the state senate and house will be Republican, so it would be fun to watch. The down ticket will be Republican, including Adam Putnam for Agriculture.
