It doesn't bother me that he is gay, but it does bother me that he will be flaunting his homosexuality all over the media and the hate speech nitpickers will be endlessly crying about how intolerant we are if we don't wish to be inundated with ongoing spectacles about his “gayness.” I will not be forced to accept Sams’ sexual orientation and the media hoopla about it. I can express my disapproval with my tv remote and my wallet — no more football merchandise.
I’m sure the Democrats are already begging him to run for office once he’s done with football (which should be pretty soon).
He stopped just short of saying he wasn’t drafted higher because he’s gay. *THAT* is what turns me off about him. There is no entitlement because you’re gay, or black, or anything else. There’s talent, skill, drive, motivation, and leadership. If you didn’t get drafted where YOU thought you should, perhaps the problem is with YOU, not everyone else (you meaning Sam).
He won’t be “made” a star, he has to earn it.
Again, that’s not how pro sports works.
There is no AA in the NFL or any pro sport.
Ask the homo NBA player sitting on the bench and not getting any playing time.
Just how is he going to be made a “star”?
Are the Rams going to bench Robert Quinn, one of the best, if not the best DE in the league and just give the starting job to Sam and at the same time, the NFL will order other teams to “let him” beat them?
That’s just crazy talk. You didn’t say it, but it sounds like what you are insinuating.
Nobody gets a free pass in the NFL
Anyone that thinks so doesn’t know a thing about sports.
