What I didn’t get, was the inclusion of “our girls”.

Our girls?

Those girls are not from the U. S. It seems an insult to call them our girls in deference to the girls of the nation in which they were abducted.

“Release the Nigerian Christian girls!” would seem to be the best way to address this.

Once again, the Obamas make it mostly about them, and very little about the people, issues, and nation at hand.

“OUR” girls? Say what?

I'm not exactly sure just how this Twitter hashtag thing works, but presumably if you're mounting a campaign like this you'd want to be able to say, "Look, 100,000 have tweeted this hashtag. The cause has momentum and can't be ignored."

If everybody tweets their own personal hashtag, or if people in different countries don't tweet the same hashtag, you probably won't be able to do that.
