Let's just say it has a lot of commie influence just like countries in South America. At the end of the day it's all about money. I'm sure Indonesia is somehow involved in the drug trade.

The commies were rounded up and exterminated. Estimated 500,000 + people were exterminated. Whether they actually were commies, well, just saying they were commies was good enough. You know how those things go, ghastly business, better off knowing the finer details.

There's a movie, The Act of Killing that follows a former hitman , executioner, whatever, who reenacts his offing of the "commies". Many of his victims were just ethnic Chinese who didn't submit to extortion from the thugs, so they were then rounded up as "commies". Bizarre stuff.
