HOUSTON The Houston City Council is currently considering an equal rights ordinance which would allow men and women to use restrooms and shower rooms designated for the opposite sex, as long as they identify with the opposite gender.
Houston Mayor Annise Parker, an open lesbian, is promoting an Equal Rights Ordinance designed to quell any discrimination in Americas fourth largest cityincluding any discrimination on the basis of gender identity.
Gender identity means an individuals innate identification, appearance, expression or behavior as either male or female, the most recent ordinance draft states, although the same may not correspond to the individuals body or gender as assigned at birth.
Many people are especially concerned by the Public Accommodations section of the ordinance, which would allow men to use womens restrooms, and vice versa, if they identity with the opposite sex.
It shall be unlawful for any place of public accommodation or any employee or agent thereof to intentionally deny any person entry to any restroom, shower room, or similar facility if that facility is consistent with and appropriate to that persons expression of gender identity, the ordinance states.

I’ve often considered moving to Texas to get away from the insanity of my home state; guess I’ll cross Houston off the list, though.
And I’ve heard Austin is pretty Leftist, too, huh?
My plan is to wait until a hottie goes into the rest room. At that point I will immediately “identify” with her.
I remember being in a bar in Paris about 30 years ago, and the restroom was coed. I remember standing there taking a leak and some gal comes in to was her hands in the sink right next to me. Didn’t seem to bother her in the least, but it took a little effort on my part to try and ignore her and be nonchalant.
I think it was Redd Fox who said the word is WHOA, MEN!
You may not have realized it but you just did a little typecasting.
Austin is not where you want to be! It’s bizarre. They made a big deal out of a gay man being elected to the city council back in the early 90s. I knew a loan officer who did a loan for the guy he was getting paid lots of money sitting on boards of huge companies.
I know you didn’t mean it but it sounds like you were pissing in the sink.
I heard that’s where the University of Texas is located; these days, pretty much any campus in the US is gonna be a little lefty/weird.
Guess no place is immune these days.
Unfortunately this issue is only a small part of the changes you will see occur if this ordinance passes. Anyone will be able to complain of anything they “feel” is discrimination and they will be called in front of a tribunal and when found guilty they will be heavily fined.
IMO there would be absolutely no reason for anyone to do business in Houston ever again. Too big a risk. Mayor Porker is taking the city down.
What is it with the Homo’s, Fags, Queers, Dikes, Butch, Queens, etc, obsession with public restrooms? They think it’s their private dating/mating domain therefore they should be in charge of who goes where? Until these FREAKS started using them as their dating booths society had an orderly and acceptable standard for all where no one was offended.
Almost did... but no, the urinal was right next to the sink. No splash wall or anything in between.
There might have been a dude in there anyway.
A sign is not going to stop anyone.
Yo alpo! I see opportunities for Article 15s galore. Leaving seat up. Urinating on the seat and so it goes.....
When will this rage end?
Oy veh.
These women need to start filing lawsuits against the city
” I remember standing there taking a leak and some gal comes in to was her hands in the sink right next to me”
Go into a men’s room in the Frankfurt airport and there’s always a big hefty German Mama whose position is Custodian of the Urinals and Keeper of the Towels. You take a pee and dry your hands then turn around and give her money. It cuts out the middle man.
