HOUSTON The Houston City Council is currently considering an equal rights ordinance which would allow men and women to use restrooms and shower rooms designated for the opposite sex, as long as they identify with the opposite gender.
Houston Mayor Annise Parker, an open lesbian, is promoting an Equal Rights Ordinance designed to quell any discrimination in Americas fourth largest cityincluding any discrimination on the basis of gender identity.
Gender identity means an individuals innate identification, appearance, expression or behavior as either male or female, the most recent ordinance draft states, although the same may not correspond to the individuals body or gender as assigned at birth.
Many people are especially concerned by the Public Accommodations section of the ordinance, which would allow men to use womens restrooms, and vice versa, if they identity with the opposite sex.
It shall be unlawful for any place of public accommodation or any employee or agent thereof to intentionally deny any person entry to any restroom, shower room, or similar facility if that facility is consistent with and appropriate to that persons expression of gender identity, the ordinance states.

I guess if the do a remake of Urban Cowboy, Debra Winger would be the rough tough oil worker, and John Travolta would be the abused girlfriend of Scott Glenn.
What would Sam Houston think?
The sign on the door means nothing at a major event where women drink lots of beer. The lines to the women’s restrooms get long, so the women just go into the men’s restrooms.
Of course. The American populace back then was led by people with morals, responsibility, and common-sense. Even in their wildest imaginations, they could never conceive of such examples of sheer insanity. Insanity tied to sheer degeneracy.
I can just imagine describing the reality of what is now America-2014 to my late grandfather, and there is no way on earth he’d believe me. Not even remotely close. He’d view it as some sick, depraved, dystopian sci-fi opus, and likely chew me out for even having such a sick brain to contemplate such a thing!
Sick, sick, sick. That’s America-2014.
and in 6 months they’ll all be so “shocked” at the shocking rise in sexual assaults.
Now I understand Leviticus ...
These people are beyond sick
This is law in Maryland. Passed this legislative session and was signed by the governor. We are trying to petition it to referendum, but as of now I can’t send my daughters into the YMCA bathroom and not know there might be a dude in there.
whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????? I don’t want men in the ladies room, gay or not!
In Florida, the discount retail store “Ross” allows men into the women's dressing rooms, but people don't know that untill they run across the situation, and are corrected by store staff for voicing their displeasure.
All newly constructed US Navy ships do not have urinals.
I guess this is so seawomen aren’t intimidated or made to feel different when they have to go.
Wish this was satire, but its not.
Sick.
There is a retailer here that does not segregate dressing rooms, but relies on people closing the door and having discretion. They have Peeping Tom issues about once a month.
Thought Texas was immune to this sort of egregious and moronic lunacy.
Which retailer?
Hopefully this will cause a few females out there to become fed up with their own liberal ideology.. Oh wait, wishful thinking on my part. Clinton/Aiken 2016! /s
What about all the normal women who identify as female having to endure a ‘gender-confused man’ entering into their bathrooms or their showers.
If I had daughters in HS or college, I would be very, very concerned for their safety. Normal people’s feelings are never considered when liberal make their insane rulings.
