12 years ago, incumbent Sherman Block was in a runoff for Los Angeles County sheriff. November 2002. Block dies of a heart attack the Sunday before the election. The next day, the county board wanted everyone to vote for the dead because they did not like the live Lee Baca. They wanted us to ‘trust them’ to pick the right live Sheriff. Baca won, and won twice more, and retired this year, interestingly under a cloud of scandal himself.

How old was Crisco? Some times people have a stroke, fall and are pronounced dead from the fall. Only later they discover that they had had a stroke. It happened to my aunt. Another relative broke her leg in a fall, went to the hospital and the next day she had a stroke and died. Or did she have a 2nd stroke?

Just because he died does not mean he can’t win a democrat primary.

After further reading, I discovered that Crisco slipped and fell.
It would be quite ironic if Crisco slipped on some Crisco.

"In 2010 falls resulted in 540,000 deaths up from 350,000 in 1990, making them the second most common cause of death from unintentional injuries after motor vehicle collisions. They were the most common cause of injury seen in emergency departments in the United States. One study found that there were nearly 7.9 million emergency department visits involving falls, nearly 35.7% of all encounters."
