The House may have voted to hold former Lois Lerner in contempt, but don’t expect John Boehner to authorize the sergeant-at-arms to arrest the former IRS employee at the center of the agency’s targeting of conservative groups. Instead, the speaker said the responsibility lies with the Justice Department and attorney general Eric Holder to prosecute Lerner.
“Will he do it? We don’t know, but the ball is in his court,” Boehner told Fox News on Sunday.
When asked why Boehner didn’t issue an arrest warrant himself, he said the provision has never been used before and he was “not sure it’s an appropriate way to go about this”: “I’m not quite sure we want to get on that path.”
Yup and Yup. Next question.
The more I hear from Boehner the more I despise this worthless piece of meat.
I used to think that Boehner was merely weak, gutless, spineless and too incompetent to be the “Speaker”. That was before I had enough time to observe him and listen to him and see what he does vs. what he says.
Now I know that he isn’t just all that (weak, etc). Now I know that he is IN ON IT. He’s onboard with the Democrat leftist agenda. I’m sure of it.
We’ve been sold on on so many levels and in so many ways by so many elected officals by now....it’s hard to keep track of all of the betrayals. But Boehners is right up there, in our faces, and blatant.
Remember when old bluster blabber mouth was demanding to know who’s going to jail? Well, evidently it’s not Lerner because Boehner is a craven coward.
I'm NOT an expert on this, but it seems that many of the things we suppose about preserving the Constitution are simoly being trashed. Impeachment is overdue, IMHO.
There are some real experts in this forum, and it seems to me they think so.
I also think that if there had been a strong VP it would have taken place long ago. A key strategy to keep BOb seated was to get a dunce elected with him, eh?

This is exactly why Obama was pushed to the fore.
