The two animals I hunt most is quail and squirrel. And I do eat the squirrel.
They are tasty and ubiquitous..
Quail are great.
When I lived in Az I had two covey on the property.
Prolly 70 birds.
I often take my shottie for birds and a handgun for the squirrel. I hunt way up in the mountains where both are plentiful.
The squirrels are nuts around here at the moment eating the mulberry’s in my back yard.
My Dog don’t know what to make of squirrels.
He is a natural bird killer/retriever and a fishing dog, but those squirrels just flummox him with their antics,
